Online Teaching Autumn 2021

Due to the ongoing pandemic, teaching at the Department of English will be conducted online during the first half of the autumn term 2021. We hope that it will be possible to have exams in exam halls as usual. Details about each exam will be posted with the registration information in Ladok. A decision regarding teaching during the second half of the term will be made in early September.

Distance teaching will be carried out in Studium and in Zoom. You will have full access to the learning platform when you have registered to the course and activated your student account.

Zoom

Lectures and group activities will be held in Zoom during the first half of the term. Students at Uppsala University have access to Zoom via the university. To be able to use all the Zoom features, you need to install a client. Information on how to activate a Zoom account and install the client can be found here.

Zoom links are usually made available for students in Studium. Your teachers will provide more information about your online studies.

Inspera

Exams done in exam halls will be conducted in the system Inspera Assessment. You write the exam on a computer in the exam hall using a special browser. If it turns out we have to run exams a take-home exams instead, you will write the exams in Inspera using you own computer. There is a demo exam in Inspera where students can see how the system works.
