About the course:
The course explores the diversity of 21st century literature written in English. Beginning by exploring claims concerning the end of postmodernism, it provides you with the opportunity to engage with a range of contemporary literature and with how this literature has been theorised. In examining this literature, the course also explores how literature has responded to the events and problems that have shaped the century thus far, including climate change, the financial crisis, and the rise of the national security state.
